While Driving, Watch for the Moving Trolley

Another trolley picture that was taken in Memphis,
it was used in my final project for my photography class.
This was taken from my moving vehicle (I was not driving)
and it was headed right for us.

Chicago Firehouse Restaurant

Memphis Trolley

Again, this is from my photo archives.
Taken December 2010, in Memphis, TN.
I don't know what bridge this goes over,
but right behind us is the Mississippi River.
This was also used in an assignment for class,
object was to catch an object in motion and freeze it.

The Mississippi River

Another photo from my archives that was
snapped for my class. This was on the Mississippi
River, Dec. 2010. I loved how the boat in the front
takes up majority of the picture and the barge is
minimal in the background.

my photography class. We had to tell a
story with our pictures. My story was
about the change in architecture of
Chicago Firehouses through the
years. This was one of my favorite
photo's and it was my teacher's favorite as well.

Water Fountain

was taken in the suburbs of Chicago. It
was for a photography class I attended at the
Art Institute. Assignment was to freeze the water.

A Misty Morning

We spent an hour or so at the

Lincoln Park Zoo last week. 

The flamingo's are beautiful, these few were sparring.

They made the oddest of noises, their feathers were getting 

ruffled and they were pecking at each other.

Stream Cleaning

This guy was cleaning the stream. Not sure I would like that job. The waterfall was not large by any means, but you could get hurt if you fell. This was taken at Hurricane Mills, TN. Just above the stream is the home of Loretta Lynn.

A Country Home

Photo taken from my recent road trip. This was our day trip to Hurricane Mills, TN to visit the home of Loretta Lynn. The home above is a replica of the home she grew up in, back in Butcher Holler, Kentucky. I've read that the original home sits on the property in Hurricane Mills, but we did not see it. Hurricane Mills has a campground on site and Loretta is performing a concert there in September. The property is absolutely beautiful and I look forward to returning to actually tour her home.

Sweet Rose of Mine

Another lovely rose from my garden. This beauty is responsible for the cross-breeding of A Rose By Any Other Name, Is Just A Rose.

Full Moon

The last two night we have had what seems to be a full, but hazy moon. I love taking photo's of the moon to see what will show up in the photo.

A Rose by Any Other Name, is Just a Rose

This lovely rose was from a bush that was originally a light yellow. We planted a miniature red rose bush in front of it and now we have multi colored roses. They start with very little pink on the edges, by the time it completely opens the leaves will have a much deeper pink color.
